CIEHF award for Design for Real People Group
The Design for Real People Action Group, led by Rachel Benedyk, has received the Richard Clive Holman Communications Award for its recent work creating the Teacher's Guide to UCD for Design and Technology in schools! This award is made for effective communication such as a blog or social media presence, or one-off publications or communication by an individual or a group.
The Group, set up in 2010 by UCLIC and supported by the CIEHF, aims to increase awareness of ergonomic design in school teaching and the need to place the user at the centre of design thinking.
More information on its recent achievements to get user-centred design principles into the GCSE syllabus can be found in this UCLIC news article.
