CIEHF Awards Success

We are pleased to announce the following awards to UCLIC staff and students from the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors.

A volunteer group Design for Real People Action Group - lead by UCLIC Honorary Senior Lecture Rachel Benedyk has recieved the the Richard Clive Holman Communications Award. This award is made for effective communication such as a blog or social media presence, or one-off publications or communication by an individual or a group. The award was made for the Design for Real People Action Group's Teacher's Guide to HCI for Design & Technology in Schools.

2017 MSc Graduate Caroline Wilcock has been awarded the Ulf Alberg Award for best postgraduate project for her project Digital Games vs Mindfulness Apps: Which is More Effective for Post-Work Recovery? Matej Kaninsky was also a runner-up in this category with his project Entice, Engage, Educate: An in-the-wild study of a novel multi-modal installation that uses IoT data to encourage the general public to learn about bats.
