UCLIC Research Seminar Series
A variety of collaborative software tools have been developed to enable people to learn, communicate and work together. The benefits are many; including being able to learn from one another, better decision-making, community-building and improved work productivity. But how best to achieve this? In my talk, I outline core design principles that can be used to promote collaboration through interface design; illustrating how the affordances of different technologies can be used in creative ways, including wearables, mobile devices, sensors, shared public displays and interface agents.
Yvonne Rogers is the director of UCLIC and was awarded the ACM CHI lifetime research achievement award this year while being made a fellow of the Royal Society for her contributions to HCI. It is a big year for her.
