Akin Delibasi

Brief biography
Dr. Akin Delibasi is joined the UCL Computer Science as a Lecturer in Distributed Systems. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Control and Automation Engineering. Prior to joining UCL, He served as an Assistant Professor in Control Engineering at Coventry University. During his tenure, he also held the role of Assistant Director for the MSc Control, Automation, and AI program. From 2010 to 2019, Dr. Delibasi held the position of Associate Professor in Control Engineering at Yildiz Technical University, where he contributed to the academic and research community. His academic journey began with a Postdoctoral Research position at the LAAS (Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems) within CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research).
Dr. Delibasi is recognised as a Fellow of Advance Higher Education (FHEA). He is a member of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He also serves as an Assistant Secretary of the IEEE UK & Ireland section. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including system identification, active vibration control of elastic structures, modelling and control of distributed parameter systems, and computational algebraic geometry.
