Brief biography

Ana is a multidisciplinary designer and illustrator, with a background in learning design derived from several years of experience working within the higher education sector and academia more widely. She undertook her BA in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and her MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University. Her research during the latter focussed on finding the intersection between fictional and non-fictional storytelling techniques as a way to create captivating visual communication pieces that have a strong educational component.

Ana specialises in graphic design, illustration, multimedia, design for user interface and user experience and digital accessibility. She has a passion for finding unique ways to communicate information and knowledge in an accessible way, especially when it relates to the field of science communication. Having joined the Multi-Sensory Devices (MSD) group in the Computer Science department at UCL in May 2023 on a part-time basis, Ana is now helping the team to visually communicate their fascinating research outputs, primarily through video and animation.
