Ewan Soubutts

Brief biography
Ewan Soubutts is a Research Fellow in Human-Computer Interaction for Health and Care within PALS at UCL. His research aims to inform the design of technologies that equitably support the wellbeing of older adults, to enable healthy aging.
Ewan conducted his PhD at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Dr. Aisling O'Kane and Prof. Ki Cater. His PhD research there focussed on the topic of 'aging in place together' in the smart home with a variety of different technologies including voice assistants and sensor systems. Ewan also gained experience looking at responsible innovation for digital mental health technologies at Oxford with Prof. Marina Jirotka.
