Merlin Kelly

Brief biography
I'm a second-year Ph.D. student. I'm researching how Brain-Computer Interfaces can be used to assist individuals with neurodivergencies or mental health difficulties. My current focus is on neurofeedback loops and how we can tailor feedback based on neural activity to minimise mental states. For my first study, I'm focusing on how we can reduce mind wandering during meditation through binaural bears.
My Primary supervisor is Youngjun Cho, and my secondary supervisor is Tom Carlson. I do most of my research at the Global Disability Innovation Hub, at UCL East.
For my BEng degree, I studied Biomedical Engineering at UCL. For my MSc degree, I studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde where I designed a visually guided transcranial magnetic stimulation device under the supervision of Dr Danial Kahani.
